Here is the modern learning strategies used today.

Use this to be an expert in your field.

1. Role play
Tell your students to act it out.
Create a cast. Share the roles. Then action. If you are teaching Science, some roles include Astronaut, teacher, engineer, Doctor, pregnant teen, sick patient.

2. One sentence summary
Encourage your students to write down a short summary of what they gained in the lesson.

Use a piece of paper.

For a less populated class, use sticky notes.

Purpose of this is to know what part needs addressing come next class.

For the students, it helps them recall, think and put in writing what they have learnt.

3. Think Pair Share
Get individuals to think about a problem.

Pair with friends and discuss their thinking.

Then share their final resolution.

Best for high engagement class.

4. Minute paper
Tell your students to write down unclear part of lesson in a paper and then pass it to you.

Address the problem immediately if it's a small sized class.

Or next class, address this problem.

Brainstorming works well.

Students think about possible solution to problems.

6. Collaborative learning

Encourage students to work together.

It is also called cooperative learning.

This is the best way to learn.

Group work, group projects and assignment works best here.

7. Argumentative learning

Start with a debate.

Share the students into group. Let them argue on different sides of a topic.

This will increase engagement.
And it will help notice learning gap.

Students will learn faster and think critically.

Competition aids learning.

8. Learning by doing

You do. They do.

For example mathematics, you solve a problem.

Then you give them exercise. They solve it.

Learning by doing makes students learn faster.

It's also called modelling.

There are more methods. But these eight are the ones I have found useful in my class.

You can tailor to fit your class. Innovation is all that matters. Be creative. Be an interesting teacher.

This pedagogical philosophy places learners at the center of their educational journey, emphasizing active engagement, critical thinking, and the construction of knowledge. One key aspect of constructivist teaching is the selection of appropriate assessment methods that align with these principles. I will delve into various assessment methods that constructivist educators employ to evaluate student learning while fostering deeper understanding. Authentic Assessments Authentic assessments are a hallmark of constructivist teaching. These assessments mirror real-world scenarios , requiring students to apply their knowledge and skills to solve practical problems. Whether it's designing a sustainable urban plan or crafting a business proposal, students engage in tasks that reflect the complexities of the world beyond the classroom.
