E-Fuel: A Sustainable Alternative to Fossil Fuels

E-fuel (electrofuel) is the alternative source of energy that is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. E-fuel is a synthetic fuel produced by converting electricity and water into hydrogen. This hydrogen is used as a fuel and combined with carbon dioxide to produce synthetic methane (e-methane). E-fuel advantages 1. It does not produce greenhouse gasses, which are a major contributor to global warming and climate change.  2. It is produced using renewable energy sources eg solar or wind power, which is sustainable. Production of e-fuel Involves carbon capture and utilization (CCU). Carbon dioxide (CO2) is captured from industrial processes and combined with hydrogen to produce e-methane. This reduces the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and provides a valuable fuel source. E-fuel applications 1. Used in internal combustion engines, fuel cells, and other applications that currently rely on fossil fuels.  2. Used in natural gas pipelines, without the need for major modif...
